Extreme G-Series for Snoop

Looking for that urban edge in a movie, television project or ad campaign? Extreme Music co-CEOs Russell Emanuel and Dolph Taylor have the perfect sounds produced by an A-list of talent in their worldwide production music unit of Sony/ATV Music Publishing, Extreme Music. Previously scoring by signing the legendary Quincy Jones to contribute a three-part Q-series, the 10-year old boundary-pushing music production company has added another A-list producer. Hip Hop artist Snoop Dogg has created the G-Series, a multi-CD with such styles as Smoking Grooves, Gangster party and Slow Jams.

“Our 'Best of Breed' roster has made Extreme the industry standard. When we decided to produce an Urban series, we wanted it to be not only major league but also 200 percent 'G'… with Snoop holding the reins,” explained Emmanuel. “This series is gonna blow the doors off.”

The rapper, singer, producer, entrepreneur, actor and soon- to-be children's books author, currently riding his latest Doggystyle/Geffen/Interscope LP Ego Trippin' whose next single, “Life of the Party” is headed to radio, and his top rated reality television series “Snoop Dogg's Father Hood,” recently invaded the world of daytime soaps. He appeared as himself in two episodes of the ABC drama “One Life To Live,” performing songs from Ego Trippin' as well as redoing the show's theme song for those episodes. He's got two films, “Golden Door” and “Coach Snoop” in the works and more in development at Fox and an animated “The Adventures of the Blue Carpet Treatment” on his own Snoopadelic Films scheduled for a 2008 release.

“It's an honor to join the A-list roster of Extreme Music,” said Snoop Dogg. “Being mentioned in the same sentence as these OG's blows my mind.  I'm excited to get in tha lab and cook up some heat.  Looking forward to working with everyone in the Extreme Music family and I'm glad that they feel the same way about me.  2008 is gonna be off tha chain, ya dig?!? “
